As I stepped outside the door I could see whisps
of spier web makings here and there draped
from tree to tree. Because the sun was not
shining directly upon the trees surrounding
my pathway, I knew that I might encounter
running into an unseen web; however, there
was no way around. I quickly walked to my
destination. I could feel the cobweb in my
hair. I brushed it off along with the spider
which fell to the ground.
The sky was filled with white, billowy clouds
which had such a brightness that I could
hardly stand to look at them. All was very
still. It was worth breaking through the
spider woven path to come to the place
where I could enjoy the beautiful picture
that God was painting for me. After I
had sat quietly in my "outdoor cathedral"
the sun rays broke through the clouds
and all was bright....no spider webs
could be hidden from the sun's brilliance.
Sometimes we see a trial coming and
we would like to go some other way;
however, the Lord knows that we must
go through that trial to be able to experience
that place of beautiful fellowship with Him.
Other times we encounter unseen, unexpected
trials. Our Heavenly Father knows just what
we need to break through in our lives to walk
in close fellowship with Him. Perhaps it is
pride, fear, cars of this world, sorrow....These
are all enemies of our soul. King David
describes God's victory over his enemies
in I Chronicles 14:11, in these words: "God
has broken in upon my enemies by my hand
like the breaking through of many waters."
Jesus has broken the power of canceled sin.
He came to set the captive free.

Your blog reminded me of the words:
ReplyDeleteFair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling starry host!
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels heaven can boast.
Following are the words to the entire beautiful song:
Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring!
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer
Who make the woeful heart to sing.
Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight
And all the twinkling starry host!
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels heaven can boast.
Beautiful Savior! Lord of all nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
now and forevermore be Thine.
P.S. I would have screamed when I went through the cobwebs and saw the spider: The itsy bity spider climbed up its intricate web. Out came Lynelle, and on her spider did plop. Out came the sun, and off went the spider. And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up its web again (and Lynelle did breathe again).
I can just hear you screaming! Thank you for the words of the song: That is truly a beautiful worship song!
